Walks
At Lydhurst there are 370 acres for you to explore during your stay.
We invite you to lace up your walking boots and discover the beautiful Sussex landscape.
There are several public footpaths that are easily accessed from the estate and many more private tracks through the trees and across the meadows. Step outside and see where your feet carry you.
Discover lakes, wild meadows, ancient woodland, waterfalls, several ponds with migrating ducks and geese and even a calming mediation garden. Don’t miss the Lookout – one of our favourite spots – especially worth visiting for the sweeping views towards the South Downs.
Guides
We are fortunate to have many specimen trees, a wealth of wildflowers and some beautiful species of butterfly. Our house conservationist, Ben, has produced a few guides to the diverse species on the estate.
We hope you enjoy reading these and discovering the species on your walks.
